On October 04, 2018 a round table discussion on " Regional Collaboration Prospering Global Downtown to Tourism: Stakeholder's Role " was held at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), Dhaka.

Mahbub Parvez, Associate Professor and Head, department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, DIU and students of THM department were present the discussion session. At the discussion session Mr. Ramendra Nath Biswas, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Finance was the Chief Guest & Mr. Rashed Sir was the keynote speaker and other distinguished guests from Tourism Industry of Bangladesh were present there. The Head, department of THM, DIU said about the research and survey on Tourism Industry. The present situation of Tourism and Hospitality sector of Bangladesh was discussed at that program. Day by day we're losing our valuable tourists from abroad. As we can see, in 2008-09 we got about 4 lac tourists. But recently we have got only 1 lac and 45 thousands. So the number tourists are decreasing day by day. Government is not taking necessary steps in this regard. Banks are showing interest to provide loans to the new entrepreneurs of this industry. If we talk about India, they are exporting billions of tourists through their Liberalize Policy. We're far backward than our neighboring countries because of some problems. Foreign travelers don't feel secure in Bangladesh. We should make them feel secure first by taking initiatives. But firstly we should control our domestic travelers. The probable solutions and suggestions were given by the guests in that open discussion. Government should take necessary steps to solve that problem and should promote this country as a tourist destination place in the world by using our resources. The most important thing is that, if we want a real change, we must have to continue our work.

Another thing is which was much unknown to all of us. That is, we can get all the information of many tourist destinations of our country by dialing “333 ". It is a customer care service providing by the government of Bangladesh. Just try this!! After all, it was a very good time there
